Requirements

Upon successful completion of the Wildland Fire Academy the student will receive fire service certifications, a SCCOE/CTE Certificate of Achievement and eligibility to apply for California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE).  Adult students who participate in the program commit to the following: 

• Interact in a positive and professional manner with instructors, students and training staff.

• Attend all scheduled classes.

• Comply with classroom, training site attire, and uniform requirements. 

• Successfully meet all course learning objectives and requirements. 

• Complete all summative tests with a minimum score of 80% and learn and know the 10’s and 18’s with a 100% passing score.

• Arrive and be prepared to begin at starting time, complete all activities, skills, and formative tests.
