Upon successful completion of the Wildland Fire Academy the student will receive fire service certifications, a SCCOE/CTE Certificate of Achievement and eligibility to apply for California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE). Adult students who participate in the program commit to the following:
Interact in a positive and professional manner with instructors, students and training staff.
Attend all scheduled evening classes, and full time Monday-Friday for two weeks, starting promptly at 7:00 a.m. and ending at approximately 5:00p.m.
Comply with classroom, training site attire, and uniform requirements.
Successfully meet all course learning objectives and requirements.
Complete all summative tests with a minimum score of 80% and learn and know the 10’s and 18’s with a 100% passing score.
Arrive and be prepared to begin at starting time, complete all activities, skills, and formative tests.
