How to Apply 

The Wildland Fire Academy is an adult certification program that is designed to provide graduates employment opportunities with CAL FIRE or other agencies that accept this level of training.

Minimum age to join the academy is 18 years. 


Step 1- Complete the Wildland Fire Academy Application
Step 2-  Attend Orientation 

Step 3-  Sign Liability Form 

Step 4-  Sign Person Protection Form

Step 5-  Complete Requirements and Expectations Form  

Step 6-  If attending high school, submit a transcript





Session 1 is now closed. Please complete the application for Session 2 by Friday, February 16th, 2024.
